On September 26, during the Alternatiba festival at Bastions in Geneva, the Water March brought together citizens, artists, and activists to raise awareness about the importance of water management. Inspired by the thousands of women and children who walk miles every day to access water, participants, carrying customized jars and bottles, marched together to the sound of music and songs.
This artistic event highlighted rainwater harvesting as a sustainable solution to the water crisis. Rainwater collection systems, which are both accessible and eco-friendly, offer a tangible solution to improve water access in the most affected communities.
The march, fueled by creativity and solidarity, turned awareness-raising into a collective and festive experience. By combining music, art, and civic engagement, Alternatiba showed how every step counts towards a more sustainable future.
