Landscape & Rainfall Context

Urban and peri urban areas severely affected by the April 2015 earthquake, with damaged water and sanitation infrastructure, high contamination risks, and urgent needs for safe water access and hygiene in displacement camps and schools. Monsoon rainfall and post disaster conditions increased vulnerability to waterborne diseases.

Project Focus

Support post earthquake reconstruction efforts by restoring safe access to water and sanitation, improving living conditions for displaced populations and students, and strengthening community capacity in rainwater harvesting, hygiene, and disaster resilience.
